Palo Santo Stick

Palo Santo translates to “holy wood" and is a sacred tree native to South America. It is sourced from Peru. Indigenous Latin American cultures have traditionally used this wood in healing and spiritual ceremonies for centuries. Palo Santo is a cousin of frankincense and myrrh.

    

Palo Santo sticks are harvested by allowing these trees to grow to their full age of around 80+years, then waiting for the tree to fall naturally, the trunk is then preserved for another 5-8 years. This long process allows the essential oils to infuse into the hardwood.

    

When Palo Santo burns, the aromatic wood releases lemon, mint, and pine notes.

This wood is an amazing tool to use before and during your meditation as it brings clarity, clears negative energies, and can aid in making a way for your higher self and purpose during meditation.

Sticks are approx. 4” in length.

 

Burning Instructions:

To ignite your Palo Santo use a candle, match or lighter. Hold the stick at around a 45-degree angle down to the flame to avoid the heat going straight to your hand. Allow the stick to burn for half a minute to a minute and extinguish the fire by blowing it out. The stick will then release a fragrant smoke for energy cleansing that you can move where you need. Around your meditation space, desk, car, home, etc.

 

**All Palo Santo materials are ethically sourced. These are “Bursera Braveolens” variety which is NOT the endangered variety known as “Bulnesia Sarmiento”. Palo Santo is harvested from naturally fallen trees and is not cut or picked from the trees.**
